An Enterprising Success

Young Enterprise Company, SkillzNDrillz from The Park School in Yeovil have won the Somerset County section of this national competition.

Robert Howes, Marcus Fudge, Luke Corner, Elliott Mellish and Pepe Partington-Lane, all Year 11 students, travelled to the Headquarters of Clarks Shoes in Street where they presented a trade stand and a five minute, multimedia team presentation to the judging panel. The team were congratulated for their outstanding effort and enthusiasm and received an award for the best company report and best company overall.

The Young Enterprise organisation helps to prepare the entrepreneurs of tomorrow by teaching the skills of planning, marketing and teamwork needed in business. The participating members have a year to set up and run a company, providing goods or services around school and at local events.

During the year the students also study to take the Young Enterprise exam that provides an excellent addition to any C.V! We congratulate the team and wish them success in the National Finals later this year
