Trent College students celebrated their success when GCSE and A Level results were released in August.

The school saw an 8% increase in the number of A – A* grades awarded at GCSE. The overall pass rate for A Levels was 99%, with over a third of all entries at A* or A grade. Several A Level students secured places at the country’s top universities such as Oxford and Imperial College, London.

Head of Trent College Mr Bill Penty said: “This is an outstanding year and our warmest congratulations go to all students. It has been a year of much publicised increased depth and difficulty in terms of the syllabus content, but our students have embraced this enhanced stretch and challenge to achieve some truly impressive results.”

Spanish boarder Pedro Toro Freire achieved nine straight A*s and 9s at GCSE. His contribution to the school community is invaluable and his results saw him earn an academic scholarship into Year 12.
