The Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) have just published the reports of Boarding and Early Years 
Foundation Stage inspections of Trinity School, Teignmouth, the school achieving the rare feat of having been graded as “Outstanding” for the third time in eight years.
The Early Years report was exceptional, the school being graded as Outstanding in all respects, with only two minor recommendations.
The boarding report was an Interim Report, a type that gives no quality judgements, but which indicates whether you have moved forward since the last report. It was confirmed that Trinity has continued to improve since its 2010 Ofsted “Outstanding” inspection.
The key quality judgements from the EYFS inspection were: the setting makes outstanding provision in meeting the needs of the children who attend; provision for the children’s well-being is outstanding; leadership and management are outstanding; the quality and standards of the early years provision are outstanding; all children make excellent progress overall relative to their starting point.
The learning opportunities and care provided by the setting are excellent and meet the needs of all children who attend, including those with SEND.
The School’s record with inspections in the last three years has been extremely strong. Of the ten areas given judgements, nine have been rated as outstanding; the boarding, pastoral, welfare and EYFS provision in the School all having been judged against standards that have been raised to newly rigorous levels by ISI/Ofsted.
The Headmaster, Tim Waters, said, “With recent inspections by both ISI and Ofsted rating the School as Outstanding, the School has successfully demonstrated its determination to deliver the best education possible for the pupils in its care. It only remains for me to congratulate the staff at all levels in the School who worked so hard to make such an outcome possible and to thank them for the huge amount of work that has gone in over the past few years.”
