Twenty-six boys from Tonbridge School have been offered places to study at Oxford or Cambridge.

The offers cover a range of subjects, with 14 offers from the University of Cambridge and 12 from Oxford.

Many of the school’s sixth form will be taking up places at many of the UK’s other leading universities, including Imperial College, the London School of Economics and Durham.

Some leavers have chosen to study abroad at leading universities around the world, such as Harvard, Berkeley and Hong Kong University.

Others go on to take degree courses in subjects which have a strong career ethos. In recent times, students have gained places studying Yacht and Powercraft Design at Southampton Solent University, Sports Management at the University of Loughborough and Food Marketing at the University of Reading.

The school’s Headmaster, James Priory, commented: “I’m very proud of all our pupils. They have worked extremely hard and are now reaping the rewards with an exciting range of courses and destinations.

“They also continue to make hugely positive contributions to the wider life and leadership of the school. This experience will equip them well to flourish at university.”
