Despite widespread reports of grade deflation, this has been a vintage year for GCSE results at Moreton Hall, with an impressive haul of top grades across the board.Moreton Hall GCSE Results 2016

Nearly half of all pupils achieved straight A* and As in every subject – a remarkable achievement for Britain’s leading non-selective school.

Jonathan Forster, Principal of Moreton Hall, noted that as well as 41% A* grades, nearly 300 modules sat by pupils across all subjects were awarded full marks. ‘This is a phenomenal achievement and I applaud the hard work and determination of students and staff in achieving these results’.

There were many exceptional individual achievements. However, pride of place must go to Lauren Fisher from Gloucestershire, who, in achieving her 10 A*s, gained full marks in French and achieved perfect scores in seventeen of her other subject modules.

Molly Bruce, as well as being awarded 9 A*s, achieved full marks in every single module in English Literature, whilst Year 11 student Georgina Lang notched up an A* in GCSE Statistics to add to the top grades in GCSE Mathematics and Additional Mathematics she has already achieved in previous years.
