Pupils from Cargilfield and Craigclowan Schools visited Glenalmond this week for Inspiring Innovation Days. The days provided a taster of life at Glenalmond, with a focus on maths and science.
The groups studied rockets and projectiles, aerodynamics, design technology and maths, with plenty of practical projects and demonstrations.
Water rockets were fired in Glenalmond’s new science garden, explosions were demonstrated in the chemistry lab, paper aeroplanes were built to test different aspects of aerodynamic theory, and laser cut boxes were assembled and customised by each pupil. Lots of fun was had by all as science and technology came to life!
