Wellington Prep School Woodland Creatures NativityWellington Prep School pupils charmed and sparkled this week with their nativity and Christmas plays. Every Christmas performance benefits from a rocking troupe of cowboys complete with lassos and the audience were not disappointed. With a violin playing inn-keeper and dancing woodland creatures, the Infant Nativity seemed to have it all (and more!).

The Early Years Nativity was equally charming, with the story of Christmas told in a traditional way. With Kings and Shepherds, Angels and Innkeepers and some lovely lilting songs, the audience was thoroughly entertained. The Star was a delightful little girl and the nursery children melted hearts with their rendition of “Twinkle, twinkle little star!”  Joseph did an excellent job in organising the rest of the cast and has a glittering future ahead of him as a director!

“We encourage everyone to take part and do their best” commented Adam Gibson, Headmaster of Wellington Prep School. “We are always delighted to see their confidence grow and watch them rise to the challenge. Well done to all the staff and children who made such an enchanting start to the festive season”.

The Prep School also held their Christmas Carol Service in the beautiful school chapel, which was full of parents, grandparents and friends. The magnificent organ reverberated through the chilly morning air and the congregation were treated to a range of readings, carols and some toe tapping songs by pupils of all ages from the school.
