Wellington School Daniel Fowler Drama Award Winner
Daniel Fowler

A Wellington School pupil has won a coveted Drama Award. Daniel Fowler, Year 7 was voted the best Youth Under 16 Acting category in the Somerset Fellowship of Drama Phoebe Rees Award.

Daniel played the lead role of Kevin in Alan Ayckbourn’s “The Boy Who Fell into a Book” at the Warehouse Theatre, Ilminster last May.  He had to learn over 100 pages of script!

Following the ceremony he was asked by another director if he would participate in the Ghost Tours which are to be held at Dunster Castle during the half term.

This is promenade theatre rather than stage performance and is another fabulous experience and opportunity for him.  It is also voluntary work which is for the benefit of the National Trust.

Overall, it was an exhilarating evening for young Daniel!
