An impressive parade at Wellington School was the final phase of confirming the affiliation between the Wellington branch of the Royal British Legion, the Wellington School CCF and the Wellington Army Cadets (Rifles).
The ceremony was attended by the county chairman of the Royal British Legion, Roger Duddridge, the vice-chairman Major Bob McDonald, Major Peter Galley, the chairman of the RBL Wellington Branch Ray Filler and other dignitaries as well as members of the branch and public.
Roger Duddridge opened the event by saying the Cadets were the country’s future forces and how proud he was to see the cadets parade so well. After his speech, he presented the certificates of affiliation the both Wellington School CCF and the Wellington ACF.
The parade marched led by the three standards and accompanied by the spectacular Wellington School Corps of Drums.
