Nine pupils from Wellington School have been selected to represent Somerset, Devon and Cornwall at cricket.

Daisy Jeanes, in Year 9, will represent Somerset U13 Girls and has already been playing up in the U17 Somerset side due to her exceptional talent. Will Scott-Munden in Year 7 also plays with Somerset at U11 level.

Also training with Somerset over the winter will be U12 level, Max Toohey and Josh Rowe, along with Year 11 pupil, Ben Meek.

In the Devon County set-up Ollie Blakeman in Year 8 has been called-up to the U12 side.  Year 9 pupil, Oliver O’Livey, will also train with Devon over the winter in the U13 age-group.

Boarders, Ethan Badcock and Jacob Harvey have been selected to represent Cornwall at the U13 age-group.

All players are part of an elite cricketing programme, led by former Somerset County Cricketer and Wellington School Head of Cricket, Steffan Jones.  Alongside their studies, pupils on the programme receive one-to-one cricket coaching and group coaching sessions all year round, strength and conditioning training, nutritional advice and technical workshops run by ECB Level 3 and 4 coaches.
