Chloe Shaw, a pupil at Wellington School, spent part of her summer holiday working on an exciting project with the National Youth Music Theatre.

The summer began with a six day course at Sevenoaks School in Kent, where 13 year old Chloe worked on the musical ‘Oh What a Lovely War’ with a group of students aged 11 to 23.

The course involved acting, dance and vocal workshops and assistance with audition technique.

Later in August, Chloe performed extracts from the play at a charity day at Sandown Racecourse.  The performers entertained race-goers whilst raising vital funds to support the National Youth Music Theatre’s work.

The organisation has helped launch the careers of many current day stars including Jude Law, Jessie J, Sheridan Smith and Eddie Redmayne.

Chloe takes vocal musical lessons at Wellington School and has appeared in productions at the school from Bugsy Malone to Les Miserables.
