A Wellington School pupil has won a prestigious science award.
Sophie Bennett from Year 10, has won the Science and Technology Facilities Council School Science Prize. The citation reads “For outstanding effort and achievement in Yr9 STEM subjects”.
She was nominated by the school on the strength of her results in science, maths, DT and ICT.
The prize-giving ceremony will be held at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in Oxford on 19 November.
