A pupil from Westbourne House School has qualified for the Junior Mathematical Olympiad.

Year 8 pupil Jack Wong has been placed in the top 0.4% of participants across the country. 70 pupils at the school joined over 300,000 pupils in participating in the Junior Maths Challenge, organised by the UK Mathematics Trust.

Barbara Langford, director of studies and head of maths, said: “This is a tremendous achievement, as only 1200 of the participants get through to the challenge round. We are very proud of Jack!”

Jack Skinner, Henry Langford and Eden Littlefair qualified for the Kangaroo round, placing them in the top 3% of participants.
