Westbourne School choir treated family, friends and the local community to a performance of True Colours at the NSPCC’s Llandaff Cathedral Carol Concert last night.

Under the direction of Ms Sarah Berwick, the choir put in weeks of practice, dedication and teamwork to create a great performance, displaying of both Upper and Lower School coming together in musical harmony.

Westbourne has supported the NSPCC throughout the year and the school is proud to sponsor the Carol Concert, raising money for such a worthy national charity. To rehearse their performance and raise further funds for charity, the choir have recently delighted audiences at Westbourne Graduation and Christmas shoppers at John Lewis in Cardiff and Tesco supermarkets.

Safia, Year 11, read a moving poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow titled ‘Christmas Bells’, giving the audience pause for thought.
