WORLD SKILLS LONDON 2011: Tomorrow almost 100 NLIS Upper School students will be attending WorldSkills London at the ExCel centre. This event, which is the 41st WorldSkills competition,
will attract visitors and students from around the world competing in 46 vocational skills with the chance of winning gold, silver and bronze medals. The event which was held in Calgary in 2009 and in Shizuoka, Japan in 2007 is the largest international skills competition in the world and London looks set to be the biggest and best  WorldSkills yet. Our students will get to try out their skills and to be inspired and they can also support the countries they originate from – South Korea has topped the medal table at the last two events with Japan, Brazil and Switzerland close behind. Skills include robotics and mechatronics, web and graphic design, cooking, building, carpentry and even aircraft maintenance and automobile technology! www.worldskillslondon2011.com
