Wycliffe entered this tournament for the first time. The squad left Wycliffe at just before 9am on what was to be a Wycliffe College prep rugby winners300 mile round trip to Plymouth College Prep School.

Arriving at midday, it was not long before the first group match against last year’s winners Blundells. This was a tough but successful start, Wycliffe winning 33-0.

The next group matches were against St. Petrocs and then Kelly College. Wycliffe dominated both and won them 42-5. This placed Wycliffe in the Cup group.

The first match was against West Buckland and saw a 26-5 win for Wycliffe. Exeter College followed immediately and a tough match ended in a 7-7 draw that meant a nervous wait to see the result of the final group match.

All was fine as West Buckland beat Exeter and this meant Wycliffe were through to the Cup Final.

This match against Stover School saw a fantastic and dominant performance by Wycliffe who were once again victorious and became deserved winners of a most prestigious event for the second time.

After a very long day, we returned to Wycliffe tired and a little bruised but very excited and proud of our achievement. The boys were a credit to the school and themselves.
