Wycliffe College Seabrook RugbyWycliffe Year 11 pupil, Tom Seabrook, who is a member of the Gloucester Rugby Academy and the South West Division rugby squad has been selected for the England U16 team.  He earned his first cap in a decisive victory against Wales at the weekend in Caerphilly. Although not getting on the score sheet, despite coming close on a number of occasions, Tom made vital contributions throughout an excellent all-round display which resulted in a 34-0 win for England. This match rounds off an excellent season for Tom, who has been at Wycliffe since Reception and has been a key player in Wycliffe rugby teams over the years.

“I am really excited about the opportunity ahead and can’t wait to get out there and start playing,” Tom said before the game on Sunday 19th April. “I am especially looking forward to wearing the England shirt and playing against Wales, they will be strong opposition.”

This is certainly an exciting time for Tom and a wonderful achievement that everyone at Wycliffe is extremely proud of.
