BaubleYoungsters at Sibford School in Oxfordshire stepped into Christmas when they made themselves into a Giant Nativity bauble.

Fiction became fact for children at Sibford Junior School near Banbury in Oxfordshire when they got the opportunity to step into the heart of their forthcoming Christmas production.

Youngsters from reception class through to Year 3 are performing Baubles … a Tree-mendous Nativity! during the week commencing Monday 12 December.

The story follows school caretaker Mrs Potts who is concerned that the focus on Christmas parties and presents is overshadowing the real reason for the season and so she sets to work to create some beautiful baubles … each featuring a scene from the Nativity.

And this week, thanks to the Zorb Zone, who are based near Kidlington, the youngsters got the chance to create their own giant bauble titled ‘Fear Not’, depicting the visit of the angels to the shepherds to tell of the birth of the Baby Jesus.

Nursery and Reception Class Teacher Helen Hoy said: “The children had great fun stepping into the Zorb Ball and becoming a giant bauble. We are really grateful to Henrietta of the Zorb Zone for enabling them to do this … it was all very exciting”
