About us
Bromsgrove has a long history of providing outstanding education in the
surroundings of one of Britain’s finest independent schools. It is in this vein
that the International Summer School has established itself as one of the
finest and most highly successful residential summer schools, attracting
students from all over the world.
Being part of the Summer School international community means
meeting new friends from all over the world, taking part in British culture,
hearing and speaking English all day, learning from qualified teachers, taking
part in sports, activities and clubs, going on excursions and being cared for by
dedicated staff 24 hours a day.

Courses
Bromsgrove International Summer School offers offers a variety of courses
over the summer break. The Summer Vacation Course for students aged
8–14 offers young people the opportunity to learn English, develop their
social skills, improve their cultural awareness and most of all have fun, all
while studying at Bromsgrove: a truly British way of life. The Academic
Preparation Course is for students aged 14–17 who are intending to study
at a British boarding school in the near future. This course is designed to
prepare students for the academic work and life at a British boarding school
and includes topic-based General English lessons and Academic Preparation
Classes which include interactive discussions, problem-solving, vocabulary
training, and lessons in core and elective subjects. Elective courses in 2023
include computer studies, money matters and astronomy.

Sport and activities
The sport and activity programme has been designed to run alongside the
School’s existing programme for local British junior pupils. The sessions will
help international students interact and mix with pupils from other countries
and our own British children, enabling them to get to know each other
better, learn new vocabulary and increase communication skills.
