Foremarke is a boarding and day school for 480 boys and girls aged 3–13. Centred on a fine Georgian mansion and surrounded by 55 acres of beautiful grounds, Foremarke Hall inspires and captures the imagination of its children even before they have walked through the door. The School enjoys an enviable reputation for its excellent balance of academic and out-of-classroom opportunities with the provision of first-class facilities and teaching. A strong boarding ethos lies at the heart of the School, and the inviting grounds, stimulating buildings and friendly caring staff create a home from home for those who choose to board. Many teachers have their homes on site, and their families help to complete that all-important caring and safe community atmosphere. The weekend programme for boarders is full and varied, with busy Sundays spent using the wonderful grounds and facilities or experiencing a wide range of trips and off-site activities.

“The grounds around the school are amazing and I love the fact that children are allowed to climb trees and get dirty.”

Foremarke Parent

Foremarke has an excellent reputation for its high academic standards and prepares boys and girls for Common Entrance and Academic Scholarship to public school at 13+. Foremarke also has an outstanding record of awards at 13+ for sport, music, drama, art and design and technology.

To complement our four boarding houses and their location in and around the Georgian mansion we have a spacious new art studio, an industrially inspired Design and Technology Centre with its own designated IT suite and Greenpower racing car pit, a purpose-built Music School, a state of the art language facility, a humanities block and a speciality Learning Enhancement area.  In addition to this we have a rep3180 seat theatre, an indoor 25m swimming pool, a full size flood-lit Astro Turf pitch, a brand new four lane cricket net facility, tennis and netball courts, a large sports hall and numerous quality grass pitches for cricket, rounders, football,  and athletics, all of which support the varied sporting opportunities on offer.

I regularly visit Foremarke and am always amazed that the children are so motivated and consistently positive with everything that they undertake.”

In Foremarke Hall’s friendly, secure and stimulating environment children discover and develop these qualities. A huge breadth of opportunity permeates everything we do and through this our pupils achieve outstanding results, uncover previously unrecognised skills and strengths and have plenty of chances to enjoy themselves.

Academic achievement is at the centre of school life, but we pride ourselves on ensuring each child is recognised for contributions and achievements outside of the classroom too.  Foremarke pupils gain national sports titles and places in national youth orchestras and drama groups as well as supporting charitable causes. They leave us as confident well-rounded young people ready for the next chapter in their educational journey.
