Excellence in international education
At The Mount, Mill Hill International, we bring pupils from all over the world together in an inspiring school where they can gain internationally recognised qualifications and enjoy a transformational educational experience. We provide a bridge to the international pupil’s next school, whether that be Mill Hill School or other renowned British boarding schools.
Pupils who come to us are from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds but they all share a commitment to study and a strong sense of purpose with high expectations. This, added to the passionate approach to teaching, makes for a dynamic learning environment where pupils can achieve their very best.
The Mill Hill School Foundation
Mill Hill International forms part of the Mill Hill School Foundation, and boasts a newly refurbished campus just a short walk from the main Mill Hill School site. Located in 120 acres of beautiful parkland just ten miles to the north of central London, Mill Hill School has an international reputation for excellence which has been built over more than two centuries since its foundation in 1807.
Our boarding is fully integrated with Mill Hill School and our international pupils have full use of the Senior School’s excellent facilities including an indoor heated swimming pool, sports hall, library, theatre and music department.
The Mount, Mill Hill International offers a broad range of academic programmes for day and boarding pupils: a Year 9 course for ages 13-14, a Year 10 course for ages 14-15, a One-Year GCSE course for ages 15-17 and a Pre-A Level course for pupils needing additional English language support, also for ages 15-17.
Class sizes are small with no more than 12 pupils per class and teachers are qualified or trained in teaching English as an additional language.
We encourage our pupils to participate in extracurricular activities to develop their interests, discover new talents and, above all, to engage with others and integrate fully with Mill Hill School pupils. A well-rounded pupil is moreover better equipped for independent study at university.
Pupils can choose from a range of additional activities which take place at lunchtimes, after lessons and at weekends. From orchestra to ultimate Frisbee, there’s something for all interests. A recent sampling includes Music (individual lessons, orchestras, choirs, bands), Drama, Art, Sports and Fitness, Chess, Community Action, Creative Writing, Debating and Public Speaking, Modern Languages Society and Philosophy Club.
