1- to replace top leftThe Repton community
Repton School is fully co-educational with a strong boarding ethos and is home to 640 pupils. Centrally located in the picturesque village of Repton, yet with easy access to major motorways and airports, the heart of the school is based around the 12th-century Priory with its beautiful Garth and Cloisters.

A cohesive, family environment is fostered by our traditional House system; we maintain in-house dining, day pupils are fully integrated with boarders and there is a strong and positive inter-house rivalry. Boarding houses are spread throughout the village so they feel part of the local community.

Academic excellence remains at the heart of a Repton education, allowing each pupil to develop his or her potential to the maximum. We achieve excellent exam results at both GCSE and A-level, and on average 95% of our sixth-form leavers enter courses at a wide range of leading universities, including the prestigious colleges of Oxford and Cambridge.

Repton has a long tradition of sporting excellence, with a host of national and regional titles to its name. In hockey alone, Repton have been crowned National Champions 30 times since 1995 – more than any other school. Our sports programme has a positive influence on all ages and abilities of pupils and our facilities include all-weather hockey pitches, an indoor swimming pool, indoor tennis courts and a cricket ground that is the envy of many schools. There is an exceptional team of coaches, comprising former international sportsmen and women and professional coaches. The School is home to a significant number of elite performers, both at junior and senior international level and pupils are supported by the Athletic Development programme.

 What’s new?

In April 2016 Repton welcomed its 35th Headmaster, Mr Alastair Land. Previously Deputy Head Master at Harrow School, Mr Land intends on ensuring that values, character and education remain as important as academic outcomes. Repton is fortunate to possess superb facilities across the board to enable us to offer dedicated and inspiring environments to support pupils in all aspects of academic life, including music, drama and art. The Music Department have recently invested in a new Steinway Model C Grand Piano3 - to replace bottom second from left, allowing pupils and visiting artists alike to practise and perform with the finest instrument possible.

We believe that when it comes to making education a successful and fulfilling experience for young people, wholeness is the key – and Repton has the facilities, spiritual community, staff and coaches to provide that for our pupils, who are prepared for living and working in today’s global community. Ambition, respect, compassion and confidence are cultivated to see our pupils succeed not just at school, but in their lives beyond our famous Arch.
