Rossall International Study CentreA traditional British boarding school with an international reputation
Rossall International Study Centre is one of only nine UK-based international study centres (ISCs) that are attached to a traditional British boarding school.

Rossall boasts a truly cosmopolitan outlook and 43 different nationalities are represented here.

Academic excellence
Rossall International Study Centre prepares international pupils for entry into Rossall’s main school or an alternative British boarding school. On average most pupils are ready for entry to a British school within a year. The academic programmes aim to develop English language skills, confidence in using the English language, subject-specific knowledge and academic skills.

The ISC offers the following courses:
• One Year (I)GCSE
• One Term Intensive Pre-Sixth Form Preparation Course
• Intensive English and Academic Programme
• Pre-Sixth Form Intensive Maths Course.

Boarding
Rossall provides 24-hour support to enable pupils to get used to life at boarding school in a new country.

For younger pupils (aged 7–13) there is a dedicated Junior boarding house which has a home-from-home family atmosphere with a team of residential staff including houseparents, deputy houseparents and a matron. Junior boarders enjoy a fun-packed supervised weekend activity programme. Senior boarding starts at age 13. Senior boarders are actively encouraged to join the extracurricular programme during the week and at weekends.

Rossall International STudy CentreExtracurricular activities/facilities
A huge range of extracurricular activities for sport, music, art and drama are offered to pupils.
Rossall has recently spent £4m on the refurbishment of boarding accommodation, catering and dining/facilities and an all-weather playing surface. Facilities include two information technology suites, an Astronomy and Space Science Centre, spacious sports fields, gymnasium, 25-metre heated indoor swimming pool, squash courts, climbing wall, shooting range, fives courts and even a beach (where you can participate in the annual games of ‘Ross Hockey’, a type of hockey unique to Rossall).
In addition, there are performance rooms for music, drama and dance, including a 450-seater venue. Rossall also has an impressive Gothic-style church which is home to the nationally known school choir.

Safe, secure location
Rossall is situated between two quiet coastal resorts in the North West of England. London can be reached in 35 minutes by air from Blackpool  Airport. There are also excellent rail connections to airports in Manchester, Liverpool and London.
