School Information

The School
The Royal Alexandra and Albert School is a state boarding school for
boys and girls aged 7-18. The School has a vibrant, supportive boarding
community of 450 boarders and 640 flexi boarders.
Situated in 260 acres of beautiful parkland in Reigate, Surrey, the Royal
Alexandra and Albert School is within 30 minutes of London and 20 minutes
of Gatwick Airport. The School’s 260-acre campus houses fantastic sporting
facilities, including five rugby pitches, flood-lit all-weather sports pitches, a
fitness centre, indoor swimming pool, and equestrian centre with indoor and
outdoor sand schools.

Co-curricular activities
The co-curriculum at the Royal Alexandra and Albert School forms part of
students’ everyday learning and development. Accessibility to a wide range
of activities is at the core of the School’s Co-Curricular Programme, allowing
students to explore their talents and stretch their abilities. This is why most
clubs and activities on offer are already included in the fees.
The co-curriculum isn’t an “extra” at this school. It is essential to the
improvement and enhancement of student wellbeing. Every term, students
have over 100 activities to choose from. With great variety on offer,
students can push beyond their comfort zone by selecting activities that are
stimulating, give them the opportunity to learn new skills and make new
friends, and help them to become well-rounded individuals with a breadth
of interests.

Distinctively Different
The Royal Alexandra and Albert School exists to give children a
distinctly different start in life. The School provides students with
diverse experiences that contribute to their development and support an
enjoyable learning and boarding journey.
As the first state school in England to become an All-Steinway School,
the School is committed to elevating the musical experience of students
by providing access to world-class instruments.
Alongside the creative offering, the School’s on-site Equestrian
Centre offers students the opportunity to ride, both recreationally and
competitively, and participate in enriching activities centred around
horsemanship and horse care.
The Royal Alexandra and Albert School continues its long history of
providing pupils with rich and valuable life experiences and opportunities,
in and out of the classroom, with remarkable wrap around care in a closeknit community that looks to develop the whole child.

“Children are supported by passionate and dedicated staff. The sense of pride that staff have
in the achievements of children is tangible.” – Ofsted Boarding Inspection 2022
