development of every student.
Academic success is nurtured in a supportive environment by a highly
talented and dedicated teaching staff.

Prime location
Royal Russell is set in 110 acres of stunning private parkland, yet only 20
kilometres from the attractions of central London. For travel, the School is
less than one hour from London’s Gatwick and Heathrow airports.

High Academic Achievement
Royal Russell offers a full range of GCSEs, 25 A level courses and 3 BTEC
programmes (Sport, Business and Media) in preparation for university
entrance. Extra English language tuition is available as required, at no
additional charge. Our students achieve excellent examination results, and
under the guidance of our specialist staff, go on to the best London and UK
universities, or apply for sports scholarships at US universities.

Extensive facilities
The School is a successful blend of grand, historic buildings and ultra-modern
facilities in a spacious, campus-style setting. Our state-of-the-art Performing
Arts Centre, music suite and science laboratories provide superb teaching
facilities. Extensive sports facilities include a full-size, floodlit AstroTurf
pitch and two further all-weather games areas providing 13 tennis courts, 6
netball courts and hockey pitches. In addition there are three sports fields
for football, athletics and cricket, a large and well-equipped sports hall and
gymnasium and a 25-metre indoor swimming pool.

Co-curricular activities
Something for everyone: There are plenty of opportunities to visit attractions
in London, including galleries, museums and theatres. The Combined
Cadet Force, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme and the Model United
Nations (MUN) programme also contribute considerably to the personal
development of our students, providing leadership opportunities.

Boarding
Brand new boarding houses opened in September 2017 and October 2020,
provide superior accommodation. Our most recent school inspection
concluded that our ‘Boarding provision meets the needs of all boarders, and
safeguards and promotes their welfare (ISI Inspection 2022). The boarding
houses are friendly places with good facilities and space for study and
leisure. New students, from many countries, quickly settle into the School
community. Boarders are fully integrated into all aspects of school life.
