Warminster Prep School

Welcoming new pupils to Warminster Prep is an absolute great joy for us here
at Warminster; knowing that what lies ahead is a unique, fun, and exciting
adventure. It really is the ‘best start’ for children offering an exceptional allround education and wraparound care when it’s most needed.

Our children are happy, kind, fun-loving and engaged in their learning.
Best of all – they LOVE coming to school every day. They benefit from
an exceptional team of committed and imaginative prep teachers. The
relationships that develop between our inspirational friendly teachers and
pupils is hugely positive and strong bonds are formed. From the outset,
Warminster pupils are encouraged to explore and be active not only in their
learning but also in sport, drama, music, and play. Every week is varied, full of
learning and friendship.

We recognise the great benefits of outdoor learning to provide wider
experiences and opportunities. Each class has a dedicated Forest School session
every week and we are lucky to have a dedicated area of the beautiful Longleat
Estate woodland as our Forest School. Pupils also benefit from energetic and
specialist teaching for Music, PE and French. Pre-Prep pupils also have weekly
swimming lessons and the option of after-school tennis lessons.

Facilities
Pupils benefit from wonderful facilities including well-developed ICT facilities,
AstroTurf, Indoor Cricket Centre, ample playing fields, Forest School at the nearby
Longleat Estate, dedicated science lab and music facilities. Warminster Prep also
has the added advantage of access to all Senior School facilities including an
impressive DT workshop, Art Room, Science Centre and outdoor swimming pool.

Boarding
Boarders experience a high level of pastoral care and make the most of
a wide variety of trips and opportunities made available to them. We
strongly believe in the value of our junior boarding offering and to meet
the demands of busy family life, we offer both full and flexible boarding.

Admissions
Children joining below Year 2 do not sit formal assessments. Children
joining after this point are assessed using age-standardised assessments.
Warminster has a Gifted and Talented cohort as well as children that
receive learning support. We pride ourselves on being a ‘broad church’
that aims to get the very most from every pupil. A 10% discount is
available for HM Forces families. There is a 5% Sibling Discount. Meanstested bursaries are also available.
