Youngsters from Bromsgrove Pre-Prep recently gave a fantastic performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat to an appreciative audience in the School’s Cobham Theatre.

We heard some amazing songs which told the Biblical story of Joseph, his father Jacob, the eleven brothers and Joseph’s coat of many colours and with their polished performance, it was easy to forget just how young these children are.

The magical musical, which included many stand-out performances, including Joseph with a multi-coloured parachute coat and an Elvis-inspired Pharaoh was full of catchy songs in a mixture of styles, from French ballad, country and western, to Calypso, including the wonderful Any Dream Will Do and Close Every Door.

At the end of the performance, Mrs Jacqui Deval-Reed, Headmistress of Bromsgrove Pre-Prep and Prep School showed the children a signed photo of Sir Tim Rice, thanking them for their performance.

Mrs Kate Western, Deputy Head (Academic) of the Pre-Prep, said: “The children have thoroughly enjoyed preparing for this production. What a wonderful way to finish their time in Year 2.”
