Prior’s Field has just completed its first new style ISI compliance inspection and is delighted to report the school met all eight parts of the standards with no recommendations for any action needed.

The Godalming based, 11-18, day and boarding school was pleased to welcome the team of inspectors just before Easter, having last been inspected under the old integrated system in 2016 when it received the highest accolade, ‘excellent’, in all nine areas of inspection.

Head, Mrs Tracy Kirnig, has now been at the school for four years and, as an ISI inspector herself, was eager to demonstrate the quality and rigour which underpin every aspect of the day to day running of the school

She commented: “It was exciting to be able to share our approach to best practice in running a happy, thriving and successful school which fully meets all the compliance standards. We have been a boarding and day school since 1902 and pride ourselves in providing the best possible environment in which girls can flourish and achieve.”

The Inspectors noted how the school aims to “focus on the development of unique individuals” and “foster a strong family ethos characterised by team spirit and high levels of ambition”. The report also recognised that the ability of the pupils is above average and this is reflected in its current placing in the top 2% of schools for value added achievement at A Level.
