Cameron in action for Sedbergh

The captain of Sedbergh School’s rugby team has been selected for England’s tour of South Africa.

Cameron Redpath, 18, will join the side for next month’s test matches against the hosts and complete his school exams whilst out there. He has played for Scotland U16s & U18s, and England U18s and U20s teams and made his debut for Sale against Worcester in the Anglo-Welsh Cup in January.

His father, Bryan, won 60 caps for Scotland, captaining the team and appearing at two World Cups in 1999 and 2003. Cameron has always considered himself English, having lived in the country for 17 years.

He has worked closely with England academy coach, John Fletcher, at U16 and U18 level and has been encouraged by Richard Hill and Eddie Jones who have developed his game.
