A Wellington School boy has been selected to play Cricket in the World Cup!

Sixth Former Liam Naylor is one of only 15 players selected to represent Scotland in the prestigious U19s Cricket World Cup 2020.

Liam will travel to Dubai in January for a training camp with his squad of only 15, before going to South Africa to play in the Cup in January. This is a tremendous achievement for such a talented young cricketer, who has been working and training tirelessly to achieve his goal.

Liam and his sister are now trying to raise money to fly their parents over to watch the World Cup and support their son fulfilling his dream!

Steffan Jones, Wellington School’s Director of Sport, commented: “We are incredibly proud of Liam, whose raw talent, and significant commitment, hard work and determination have paid off.”
