Wellington School Movement Summit attracts International Speakers

Over 70 delegates from a range of schools, colleges and clubs descended upon Wellington School for a day of challenge and education.

The South West Movement Summit showcases expert coaches, academics and sporting professionals who have come together to share their vision for delivering coaching better to young people. With topics such as skills acquisition, athletic development and coaching the individual, alongside movement- based curriculum information, there was something for all sports and coaching departments.

Steffan Jones, Director of Sport & Wellbeing at Wellington School, commented: “Our aim is to share knowledge and best practices for coaching young athletes. Nurturing potential is a careful and systematic process. With over 70 coaches from around the globe, including coaches from the Houston Astros Baseball Team, our expert guests today will share their experience and provide valuable information for ensuring the continued athletic development, movement profile and appropriate coaching for our young people.”
