Monmouth students receive medicine offers

Students at Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools have been offered the opportunity to study Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary degrees at leading universities.

Focus and determination have paid off for the Sixth Form students at Monmouth School for Boys and Monmouth School for Girls who are now stepping up their A level revision to secure their offers.

Nathan Pugh, Owain Meek and Faisa Yusuf have received offers to study Medicine at Cardiff University.

Caitlin Clarke and Elan Shellard have been offered places to read Medicine at Newcastle University, while Eleanor Woodhead (University of Birmingham), Harry Simpson (Anglia Ruskin University) and Jerome Lee (Hong Kong) also have offers to read Medicine.

Old Monmothian, Oliver Jones, had had an unconditional offer to read Medicine at Cardiff University.

Alex Stephenson has been offered a place to read Dental Surgery at the University of Plymouth and Taya Lewis, Dentistry, at Cardiff University.

Old Monmothian, Joshua Kershaw, has accepted an offer to read Veterinary Medicine at University of Cambridge.

Cherry Tse has been offered a place to study Veterinary Medicine at the Royal Veterinary College in London and Kelly Wun, Veterinary Medicine, at the University of Surrey.

The cohort are reaping the benefits of their own hard work and the first-class support from the schools’ specialist medical tutors, Miss Emma Barson, Miss Linda Woodburn, and Mrs Dawn Clarke.
