Dauntsey’s is a leading co-educational boarding and day school for 11-18
year-olds, located on the northern edge of Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire.

Academic excellence is at the heart of all that we do. However, education
is about much more than grades on a piece of paper. It’s about developing
the skills and characteristics, such as resilience, flexibility and a willingness
to have a go, which we all need to have a successful, happy life. That’s where
our adventure, enrichment and extracurricular activities have a crucial role
to play. From drama, dance, music, sport and a huge range of clubs and
societies, to our lecture series, adventure programmes and volunteering
initiatives – there are opportunities to suit everyone.
The Dauntsey’s community
Community and collaboration underpin many aspects of Dauntsey’s; it is a
happy place with a strong family atmosphere. Pupils are expected to give
of their best and to have a spirit of adventure. We aim to push them out of
their comfort zone, both inside and outside the classroom.
Boarding and day pupils are fully integrated with boarding houses rapidly
becoming home-from-home and fellow boarders becoming extended family.
All pupils attend school six days a week with Saturday school compulsory for
everyone. A range of activities on Saturday evening and Sunday encourage
friendship and a sense of community.
Lower School pupils (aged 11-14 years) board at the co-educational
Manor, a fabulous Victorian mansion in extensive grounds, a short walk
away from the main school campus.

Dauntsey’s sits in a campus-style site of 150 acres of idyllic countryside. The
school enjoys a wide range of academic and sporting facilities onsite. Bath,
Salisbury, Bristol and Swindon are all close by and the centre of London is
less than one hundred miles away. The school organises transport to and
from Heathrow Airport as well as other local airports or train stations.
